Cost Share Programs

Wyoming Statute 11-5-107(d): “The district board may cost-share with the landowner the cost of the pesticides, the cost of the application, and the cost of any other integrated management practice for the control of designated or declared noxious weeds and pests”.

Therefore, the following Cost Share Programs may be available for Sublette County, Wyoming residents.  Individual programs may be subject to change and are dependent on funding levels and District Board approval.

Pesticide Cost Share

Pesticide cost-share is available for Sublette County residents for the treatment of Wyoming-designated and Declared Noxious weeds.  Residents must give SCWP their physical address to verify ownership of land and acreage within the county on which the herbicide will be used.  Only pesticides necessary to treat land owned or leased in Sublette County will qualify for cost-share.  We will not sell pesticides to commercial applicators unless it is for their private land in Sublette County.  A private landowner can purchase pesticides at cost share for a commercial applicator to pick up and apply; that pesticide belongs to the landowner, and any remaining product should remain with the landowner. Special requests are approved on a case-by-case basis.

75% of pesticide covered when purchasing through SCWP.

Cap $5,000 per person.

Labor Cost Share

35% of contracted labor to be covered by SCWP.

Must contact SCWP before the project.

Must turn in application record and proof of payment.

Cap at $10,000 per landowner/person annually.
